Yogiswara Piyush was born and brought up in a traditional Himalayan village near Uttarkashi. Son to a family of Brahmin priests, Yogiswara Piyush was exposed from infancy to the Hindu Orthodox tradition and interacted with a number of Saints in his early age. He started practicing very early in his life under their guidance and was inspired by them to join the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course to learn Yoga intensively. In 2008 Yogiswara Piyush then further developed his expertise by taking the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, South India. His training was put to use teaching in different ashrams and Yoga centers throughout India.
Yogishwara Piyush brings the depth and beauty of the ancient practice of Yoga to life in his inspiring Yoga classes. He draws from the model of holistic healing set forth by his Ayurvedic bodywork training, seeing health as a natural state of an individual as long as the body and mind are in harmony with nature. From beginners to advanced students, he teaches not only asanas and pranayamas but also shares messages from the Bhagavad Gita.
